the big picture
In Exodus 20:24, God tells Moses,
"In every place where I cause my name to be remembered I will come to you and bless you."
Later, in Matthew 18:20, Jesus tells his disciples,
"Where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”
Where is the church? Despite what the phonebook or your favorite map app will tell you, the church isn't a building. Christ's church is a community of people who are continually called, gathered, enlightened, and sanctified by God's Holy Spirit wherever the Spirit causes the name of Jesus is remembered and received as a gift of God's amazing grace. God comes to us where we are as God's Word and Sacrament are purely taught and administered. In other words, church is where we get Jesus as a good gift. Brick and mortar buildings are not temples. By God's Holy Spirit, people become temples of for God's own dwelling.

I love the art of proclamation and the design of the worship service. I would love for you to join us at our brick-and-mortar location for worship or Bible study. However, I know that there are countless faithful congregations of Christians across the planet and several wonderful resources on the World Wide Web. Here are some great online resources. Please reach out to me if you have another favorite that isn't on the list, I'd love to check it out.
